Tasteful Typography

Audience: For this design I wanted to focus on millennials. As a millennial, I think we often get stuck thinking who we see on the internet is perfect and our life cannot compare to that of the bloggers or Instagrammers. If we don’t have as many followers as them or comments on our blog we feel insignificant. We need to step back and change our perspective.

Critiques: Judy Daines suggested (Tuesday at 2:45 pm) I should crop out the left side of my image. I felt that would limit the “perspective” of the picture and did not crop the image but I did shift the image over.

Dee Whitman offered (Tuesday at 2:30 pm) that “Sis Larson makes note of the .5 distance around your text. Move you title and body copy to the left away from the right margin.” I went ahead and moved my copy away from the margin by a half an inch to follow instruction.

Font- Title: Chaparral Pro (Oldstyle)

Body: Avenir Light (Sans Serif)

Gestalt Design

I love anything and everything about the beach. Today I used the repeating shape of a triangle to create the sand, waves and the sun that you always find at the beach. I tried to represent a wave coming in on the top half of the design and overlapped more triangles to give it that look.
